In Pascal Engman and Amanda Schulman’s joint audiobook podcast Bokklubben, everyone is welcome. Pascal Engman is the successful author who, together with Amanda Schulman, framstående poddare och mediepersonlighet men även hon författare, diskuterar kritikerhyllade romaner såväl som fängslande självbiografier och succédeckare – allt med samma nyfikenhet och engagemang.
– We cover books that we’re curious about and that we think will lead to interesting discussions. And so far, I must say, we’ve done really well. Amanda is incredibly fun to have a podcast with,” says Pascal Engman.
The first season will be released in eight episodes, featuring titles such as Fresh Water for Flowers by Valérie Perrin, Sibling Feud by Moa Herngren, and Stacken by Annika Norlin.
– One of my favorite activities during the summer has been listening to novels while I’ve been tidying up and puttering around the garden in Gotland. That’s what’s so exciting about audiobooks – you can listen to stories while doing other things. Often, it can add something to the experience, and this is something we’ll explore more in the podcast,” says Amanda Schulman.
Podcasten görs i ett samarbete mellan Storytel och Perfect Day Media, där ambitionen är att skapa en interaktiv lyssnarupplevelse.
– We are excited about the opportunity to work on this project together with a strong partner in Storytel, through the dynamic duo of Amanda and Pascal. They both have natural connections to the literary world but bring personal references from their own lives, which creates a very exciting and inviting dynamic that I’m sure many will want to be a part of,” says Ömer Toll at Perfect Day Media
Bokklubben will be available on Storytel and other podcast platforms starting on September 4th.
